A North East Scotland Golfing Experience

Famous for its towering sand dunes where courses including Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay and Trump International Golf Links snake between the dunes and then ascend to elevated tees to reveal breathtaking views of sea and sky which stretch for miles. Quite simply golf in the North East never fails to disappoint.
Which Courses to Play
With over 50 courses in the area, there really is something for everyone. Royal Aberdeen, being the 6th oldest club in the world, is the most well known. This incredible venue hosted The Senior Open in 2005 (won by the legendary Tom Watson) as well as The Scottish Open in 2014 (won by Justin Rose).
Other truly world class offerings include Cruden Bay designed by Old Tom Morris, the modern Trump International Golf Links and the authentic Scottish experience at Murcar Links.

Don’t forget the hidden gems
While the big-name courses take a lot of the plaudits, many of the other courses in the region are true hidden gems – they perhaps don’t have the stature of the famous courses in the region but they certainly have the quality. One of those is Fraserburgh Golf Club and a course that should never be overlooked. Founded in 1777 and the 7th oldest club in the world, the 2nd hole starts a wild ride over high dunes and an opportunity to experience how golf was played over a century ago. The view from the 16th hole towards the North Sea and the Moray Firth as well as the city of Fraserburgh is alone worth the visit.
